What is National Coding Week?
National Coding Week is a UK-wide initiative dedicated to helping people of all ages develop their digital skills and build confidence in coding and technology. At ComputerXplorers, we live and breathe this mission every day!
This year, from September 16th to 22nd, 2025, we’re going bigger than ever with a full week of special events, challenges, and free taster sessions designed to inspire the next generation of digital creators, problem-solvers, and innovators.
We have a fantastic lineup of activities for children, parents, and schools. Spaces are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment!
1. For Kids & Families: FREE Coding Taster Sessions

What: A hands-on, fun-filled introduction to coding. Kids will create a simple game or animation using beginner-friendly tools like Scratch or Kodu.

When: Various times throughout the week, including weekends.

Where: At your ComputerXplorers Rochdale Centre.

Who: Ages 5-13. Absolute beginners welcome!
