ComputerXplorers Academy operates from September to July in line with the school calendar (i.e no classes during school holidays.)
Children attend one session per week in term-time.
Over the course of a year your child will experience a wide range of technology focusing on different aspects at different times. The big benefit of the Academy (apart from the obvious awesome tech fun) is the diversity of the offering across an extended period.
Dependent on the age of your child these are just some of the areas we are likely to cover: 3D design and printing, augmented reality, app design, digital arts, animation, game design, robotics, engineering, electronics, coding and the latest Minecraft skills.
The children see ComputerXplorers Academy as a fun place to go, to be creative and learn cool new tech skills.
Parents are delighted with seeing the excitement on their children’s faces and seeing what they can achieve from the educational content delivered.
Our Academy operates from September to July, term-time in line with the academic school calendar.
This covers 37 sessions per annum.
Attendees can join at any time.
Children attend a one-hour session per week.
When your child joins our Academy, you pay a monthly direct debit for 11 months, this is on a rolling subscription basis with subscriptions taken on the 1st of each month, in advance. If joining part-way through the month there may be an additional payment to cover the sessions for that month, which will be automatically added to your first subscription payment. The pro-rated rate of £9.95 per session is used to calculate the monthly subscription cost. For the avoidance of doubt, sessions cannot be booked individually.

You may cancel your subscription with 30 days’ notice in writing but we hope that your child will enjoy it so it won’t be something you will need to consider.

The ComputerXplorers Academy in South Yorkshire is based in Woodhouse, Sheffield.
The Academy is housed in Woodhouse Community Hub & Library, only an 8-minute drive from the M1.

Our weekend academy sessions run from 9:00am-10:00am and from 10:00am-11:00am on Saturday mornings during term-time.
Our weekday academy sessions run from 4:15pm-5:15pm, 5:30pm-6:30pm and 6:45pm-7:45pm on Thursday evenings during term-time.
At this time, there are five academy groups which depend on age range or ability level; simply choose the time slot/topic/age that suits you best. Our tutors have extensive knowledge of working with children from all age-ranges and ability levels and can ensure that the ComputerXplorers curriculum can be accessed and engaged with thoroughly by all learners.

We welcome children of all levels and abilities. No previous experience is needed in any of our groups. We supply the laptops and all peripherals needed for the class.
It’s a chance to dig deeper into a favourite subject, discover a new passion or just try something new out of school.

Yes, absolutely.
When making your subscription booking, you can choose a free trial option. After attending the trial session, you’ll have 7 days to decide whether your child would like to continue.
If you decide not to continue, simply let us know within the 7‑day trial period and no payment will be taken.
If your child wishes to carry on, no action is required — just come along to the next session and your subscription will begin automatically.
