But with an average of ten weeks of half terms, Easter, Christmas and Summer holidays to fill in the UK, we understand that keeping the kids entertained and with activity options they enjoy can sometimes be a headache.
To help you make your child’s holiday plans, we’re sharing information about our half-term and summer computing camps. These camps come in all shapes and sizes to fit your child’s schedule and interests and equip them with skills for the future, too.

1. Our camps could be the perfect fit for your child who wants to do more than just sports
Hands up if your child isn’t always thrilled to be at another multi-sports or football camp. We’ve got you. Sports camps have their place, but if your child is pleading to try something different or wants to mix and match their usual holiday sports camp with something else, ComputerXplorers camps offer the opportunity to learn practical and useful skills, explore new STEM interests, innovate alone and collaborate with peers in teams. Plus, they will still get outdoors for fresh air and exercise as part of the activity mix.
2. Kids don’t just sit in front of computer screens
ComputerXplorers HAF and summer camps are interactive and inclusive. We cater for all ages and abilities. And while there’s likely to be some screen time involved in your child’s camp schedule, there will also be plenty of hands-on individual and group activities. Your child might be building a robot, planning a TV show or sketching animation designs. At camp, kids learn in lots of ways that mean they don’t even notice they’re learning because they’re having fun doing different things.
3. Your child doesn’t need to be into IT, we have all kinds of tech and STEM camps
Our holiday camps don’t just cover skills like programming, depending on the camp, your child might find themselves:
- coding Minecraft or having a Minecraft adventure
- being a TV or music producer for the day
- creating 3D models of their dream bedroom
- completing an obstable course
We break learning and activities into chunks with breaks for snacks, lunch and free play.

4) You won’t need to pack lots of fancy equipment
One of the best things about ComputerXplorers summer camp, even if we do say so ourselves, is how we like to keep things simple. You won’t get a long list of things to pack for your child to bring to camp each day, and you won’t need to buy any special equipment. Your ComputerXplorers teachers will have everything you need, and in some instances, lunch and snacks are even included in the cost.

When are your next holiday camps? Book for the day or the week, our camps run throughout the Summer Holidays. Find your local centre for more information on camps in your area.
What hours do camps run? Our summer camps vary across the UK, either running for half or a full day
What is included? ComputerXplorers Holiday Camps include all the activities and sometimes your child will even bring their 3D printing home!
What does my child need to bring? We ask that your child brings a water bottle and in some cases lunch. More information can be found on the booking page for your local site.
How much do they cost? Across the UK we have a range of offerings, get in touch with your local provider to find out if they can accept funded places and childcare vouchers.
Do you run any other classes? Yes, we have a range, see your local centre for after school clubs, weekend academies and more!
Can you take reception age children? We have a curriculum that is suitable for ages 4+, find your local centre to locate the nearest class.
What SEN provisions do you have? In each area of the UK we have teachers specialising in SEN and over the past 20 years we have tailored our curriculum. Get in touch with your nearest location to find out more.
Do you have safeguarding and emergency procedures? All our centres have an emergency action plans and child protection codes of conduct. Our teams review these regularly and also take part in practice drills.
Do you accept tax free/childcare vouchers? Many of our centres do accept tax free childcare and vouchers, please contact your nearest centre for confirmation.
