ComputerXplorers, the popular provider of children’s extra-curricular computing classes, is now bringing its inspiring range of activity sessions and clubs to children living in south Essex.
Its engaging educational programmes give children the tools they need to thrive in a technology-driven future, combining creative thinking with the latest computing skills. By joining ComputerXplorers in Essex South, children gain the opportunity to explore, innovate, and grow in the fascinating world of technology and computing. They are accessible to all children aged three to 16 years old, of all abilities.
The classes run in local schools, nurseries, community centres and other children’s groups. Sessions cover a wide range of in-demand topics from coding, 3D animation and modelling to web design, robotics, Minecraft, and app building with Appshed.
These classes have been brought to the area thanks to local parent and computing enthusiast, Dr JingyueZhao. Jingyuehas always held a keen interest in computing and technology, having studied and used programming throughout her career in health technology assessment. During COVID lockdowns, her son took up coding, prompting her to explore local offerings of computing classes. It was during this search that she discovered ComputerXplorers. Driven by her enthusiasm for technology, she aspired to share it with others and bring these skilled classes to children in her area.
Jingyue said: “Digital technology has played a huge part in my career so far and I have seen just how significant a role it plays in furthering scientific developments and creating efficiencies. I believe it is highly important that our children can learn about the technologies we have available today and be given the chance to work with these tools to enhance their creativity and logical thinking skills. I am delighted to be able to offer the children of South Essex these unique classes and am looking forward to bringing them to even more students in the year to come.”
The sessions are currently running at West Leigh Infant School, Kingston Primary School, Riverside Primary School and Westwood Academy.
